    Pleading Insanity Studio is a hybrid creative space that functions as both an art gallery and a shared studio environment for visual artists and licensed tattoo artists. We host exhibitions, events, workshops, and provide rental opportunities for creatives at various stages of their practice.

  • Where are you located?

    1624 E. Washington St., Phoenix, AZ 85034.

  • What are your hours?

    Public gallery hours vary depending on exhibitions and events. Artists renting space have 24/7 access unless otherwise notified.

  • How do I exhibit my work in the gallery?

    We curate exhibitions regularly and announce open calls via our social media and newsletter. You can also email us at pleadinginsanitystudio@gmail.com to express interest or submit a portfolio.

  • Do you host art events or community programming??

    Yes! We host monthly art nights, workshops, pop-ups, and open studios. Check our Instagram or Linktree for current events and how to participate.

  • What's included in an artists studio rental?

    Studio rentals include:

    - A designated space to create/store art

    - 24/7 access

    - Access to shared tools (when available)

    - Opportunity to participate in gallery shows and studio events

  • How much is monthly rent?

    Rent is currently $600/month, due by a specified date of each month.

  • Do I need to sign a lease?

    Yes, we require a 6-month agreement with the option to renew.

  • Can i share my space with another artists?

    Shared rentals may be considered on a case-by-case basis with prior approval.

  • Can I rent space to tattoo?

    Yes! Licensed and insured tattoo artists can rent designated tattoo workstations. Proof of certification, insurance, and bloodborne pathogen training is required.

  • What documentation is required to tattoo at the studio?

    You’ll need to submit:

    - Valid tattoo license (State/County)

    - Liability insurance (listing Pleading Insanity Studio as additional insured)

    - Bloodborne Pathogens certificate

    - Client consent forms

  • Are tattoo artists allowed to bring clients?

    Yes, but all clients must follow studio guidelines.

  • Is the studio Open to the public?

    The gallery is open during exhibitions and events. Studio access is limited to artists and invited guests only.

  • Do you offer day passes or short-term rentals?

    Not at this time. Rentals are month-to-month with a 6-month minimum term.

  • How do i apply to rent a studio space?

    Email us at pleadinginsanitystudio@gmail.com with your portfolio, a brief intro, and what type of work you'll be doing (tattoo, painting, etc.).
